Out of the Shadows jTer I finished reading this novel as if I dust crossed off another book on my reading list for this year I didn t feel any lingering happiness that comes after one s ust read the last lines of a beautiful romance story This was OK It didn t wow me and I never got the sense that there was any intense passion between the MC s It seemed as if the heroine was the one who had stronger feelings and the H was a closed book until the very end when he suddenly declares that he loves her I really needed to see how his feelings developed Sharon Kendrick had done a better *JOB IN THE ITALIAN S CHRISTMAS SECRET OF DEVELOPING *in The Italian s Christmas Secret of developing H In this novel I didn t get that opportunity to delve into the H s mind which is why I cannot rate this as high as The Italian s Christmas Secret I need to believe that a H really loves his heroine and it s only in the epilogue of this novel that Kulal actually shows some real love for Hannah The beginning was great though although I did manage to roll my eyes a few times at Kulal s absolute vanity He expected her to meet his gaze with a knowing look of challenge for he had never met a woman who wouldn t put out for him in the first few minutes of meeting Yeah this is how I pictured KulalOk I ll stop being an asshole This is how I actually imagined Kulal would appearI really wanted to love this novel but there was little real connection between the MC s except for their sexual attraction and even the sex scenes were a bit too mild The first
sex scene was sort of tepid and that surprised me because I would ve expected a lot heated sensuality scene was sort of tepid and that surprised me because I would ve expected a lot heated sensuality this author Hannah was a rather bland heroine and I couldn t uite grow to identify with her even though she was a likable character Kulal did seemed most preoccupied with her very excellent boobs and voluptuous curves thoughThe author did deal with the MC s childhood problems as key issues that affected both their individual development and their relationship Kulal was also an honorable H because he intended to be a faithful husband Even Though Their Marriage though their marriage ust be one of convenience There were a lot of positive things in this novel but somehow the writing didn t successfully translate all of it into a spectacularly romantic story The novel felt a bit disjointed at times and the ending was rushed It Salvation: A Novel (Salvation Sequence) just didn t hit the right spots for me personally but I must add that I didn t find anything in it to hate The epilogue was nice but it still couldn t improve my overall impression of the story This mightust be case of my personal response to the novel maybe other readers might find it wonderful It definitely was not as well written as The Italian s Christmas Secret. Cking conseuences Now Kulal will do anything to claim his heir Even if it means making Hannah his desert ueen.

she is there The Sheikh decides he must take her to a party so the eligible women would notis there The Sheikh decides he must take her to a party so the eligible women would not to him He takes her to bed and leaves her pregnant He does his duty and marries her even though he doesn t want to and he makes her his ueen It is the happily ever after you expect It is always fun getting there through the story Like writer s have writer s block I m a reader having reader s block Can t explain it but couldn t muster the interestdesire to look for and find a book so I made the effort and settled on a book that should be easy to read not challenging a romance novel I haven t read a Harleuin novel in ages because they re often so painfully corny to read but I realize I m a snob so I decided to broaden my horizons and found this book to be least objectionable I liked it than I thought I would A smooth easy read Of course there was some over the top writing but it was only about a paragraph and a half or so two different instances that were really annoying Otherwise I liked the characters I liked the conflict I really liked the ending The way it was put together what happened in what order was very well doneIt was a happy ending with the Prince getting over his issues from childhood However SPOILER the prince didn t have much of a relationship with his mother so when she killed herself and he was away I would think it would not have bothered him as much as it didHe finally reveals why he is so emotionally distant and intends to remain that way She goes away to think it all over to decide if she can live that way he rescues her and they have an emotional discussion that leads to his epiphany and his proclamation of love The proclamation seems a bit too much of an about face but I suppose it was necessary and it does fit The books touches on the issues of mental health and the need for professional help and I think that s commendable and fits in very well with the story The rest of the story shows the prince working through his issue and the epilogue wraps things up nicely I think the best part of the book is from his big reveal to the end All well handled put togetherI may get this book it was good better than the average Harleuin though that s not hard I recommend it especially if you like to read romances I intend to look into other books the author has written and read those too Part one of a duet of 2 sisters Okay read Maybe I need to switch genres but I wasn t very impressed with this This book is the companion to The Gree. The last thing sensible maid Hannah Wilson expects is to be whisked off to a glamorous party by Sheikh Kulal. .
